Quiz time.

you are deep pink
#FF1493

Your dominant hues are red and magenta. You love doing your own thing and going on your own adventures, but there are close friends you know you just can't leave behind. You can influence others on days when you're patient, but most times you just want to go out, have fun, and do your own thing.

Your saturation level is high - you get into life and have a strong personality. Everyone you meet will either love you or hate you - either way, your goal is to get them to change the world with you. You are very hard working and don't have much patience for people without your initiative.

Your outlook on life is very bright. You are sunny and optimistic about life and others find it very encouraging, but remember to tone it down if you sense irritation.

... pink? Man... I'll never hear the end of this.

Yeah, I'm kind of different. Maybe that's part of the reason I freaked out too. I've never been in the in crowd. I wear combat boots, too much eyeliner and dye my hair a lot.

You sound like super heroes or something. Tell me you don't wear spandex.

I promise. They haven't found him yet. But no one's spotted him either... so I don't know.

[identity profile] letsdropin.livejournal.com 2009-10-05 02:30 pm (UTC)(link)
Different can be great! And we're... well, we hang out with the crowd, but... we sort... we grew up together, kind of like brothers? You can ... um. If you're around us, you'll be the one to pic, whether to hand out with people or to hole up and have some peace and quiet. Yeah, we do that even at Harvard. It's possible!

Nope. No spandex. Jeans and all. Hey, Pogue even rides a Ducati. We're fun, really.

Right, okay. um. Have you called the police to ask them if there's stuff that they haven't released to the press or shit like that?

[identity profile] ocd-bibliophile.livejournal.com 2009-10-05 05:04 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh wow. Friends for life, huh? That's pretty neat. I mean... so you've like always had each other and probably will always have each other. You know if I hung out with you I would probably totally bring down your cool factor.

Ducati's are hot. How long did he save up for that one?

Yeah the police call me twice a day to let me know how everything is going. The cop interaction is dwindling down. They can't pool their resources here for what could be nothing, you know?

[identity profile] letsdropin.livejournal.com 2009-10-05 05:17 pm (UTC)(link)
Hey hey. No worry about that, okay? It's not a competition or anything, we're just... us. If you do come, or we end up swinging down there, you'll see. But yeah, we've been around each other... for ever. It's fun.

Oh yes, yes they are. And... Ummm. About that... Actually, Caleb gave him this one for his eighteenth birthday. After his previous one crashed a couple of months before that. It was kinda weird to have Pogue without his bike!

Huh. I guess that it's not the only criminal who's wanted or shit. Um. Do you have any idea if he's been to your place? I mean, not that you should go, but... you know.

[identity profile] ocd-bibliophile.livejournal.com 2009-10-05 06:00 pm (UTC)(link)
You know I thought friendships like that were myths. I've read about them in books. I read about most everything in books. Yet here you are standing right... on the other side of the computer screen (or possibly sitting) and you're not a myth.

Wow. It's a replacement ducati. That's even MORE impressive.

I have no clue. I haven't been back there. My roommates though, they haven't noticed anything weird. I'm worried that I might be getting too comfortable. But I worry a lot. Probably over nothing.

[identity profile] letsdropin.livejournal.com 2009-10-05 06:19 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah... kind of like that. Except, you know. We did go to school, now going to college. Like everybody else. And yeah, I'm right here, and... well. Possibly one day you'll get to see how it goes. Or, you know. Gradually get to know that. But, yeah, we also do stand by each other if shit's happening, so...

We're... not exactly the ... we don't really need to save up unless something's really big. Which, um, often enough doesn't come up as either a problem or bragging. But Pogue's bike is worth mentioning. Just because, you know.
Umm... just so you know. The four of us is Caleb, he's the oldest, the silent dark broody type. Then Pogue, bike, long blond hair. Those two were top of the swimming team at school, too, me and Tyler a bit below. Then it's me, and then Tyler. Who is among all three my even bester friend. Except that's totally ungrammatical.

Ahh. I see. If he's not showed up or bothered them, you might have reasons to relax. I mean, if he was rabidly trying to find you, he'd have questioned them, right?
Have you been able to go back to work, or just hiding?

[identity profile] ocd-bibliophile.livejournal.com 2009-10-06 03:23 am (UTC)(link)
Hey Reid? This is random but thanks for still talking to me. Just... thanks.

Grammar is overrated. Bester is a valid made-up word of choice. So it's you, Tyler, Pogue and Caleb. I suck at names but I'll try to remember. I'm saying them in my head over and over. Reid is made of awesome, Tyler is Reid's bester friend, Pogue has a Ducati, and Tyler is dark and broody.

When we meet I'm so gonna know them. And they'll be like so who's this weird chick Kat? :)

I've been working. I go to work and then I come back to the bar. Back and forth, back and forth. It's kind of monotonous.

[identity profile] letsdropin.livejournal.com 2009-10-06 04:05 am (UTC)(link)
You're welcome And, I like it.

Good! And, almost yep, just, Caleb's the dark and broody type. Well, sometimes-broody. Silent sometimes, too. But he kicks ass, too. Not that I'm waiting for somebody to do the strong-and-silent line about him or anything. And watch Sarah laugh out loud, possibly.

They'll be fine. I, um. Did give them heads-up when I thought you'd be coming and you might have trouble following. But that's about it. 'cause you don't just drop something like that on people. It'll be OK.

Well, working and then back to the bar is kind of sort of better than just having to hang all day around the bar? I mean, I know you do like your job.

[identity profile] ocd-bibliophile.livejournal.com 2009-10-06 01:26 pm (UTC)(link)
I like it too.

Wait. Yeah I got that wrong. Imagine me head-desking right now. Only it's head-baring cause I'm sitting at the bar.

Is Sarah part of your crowd too?

I love my job. And they've been really understanding about all of this. FBI intervention helps. The FBI even offered to get my NYU courses switched to online. But... I figured that I'm cowering enough already. Continuing class and work kind of makes me not feel like I'm a complete scardy-cat.

[identity profile] letsdropin.livejournal.com 2009-10-06 02:03 pm (UTC)(link)
Good! That's... good.

It's alright. And don't hurt yourself, okay? I'm sure that you won't get us mixed up in person.

Sarah is Caleb's girl; they hooked up start of senior year of high school. ... so, I guess?

Man, Katherine. Being scared of somebody who's scary doesn't make you coward. You might be hiding away from your apartment and such, but you've not stopped your life because of it. Sometimes, you know you're outclassed, and that's okay, you know? It keeps you alive, to be better ... another day.

[identity profile] ocd-bibliophile.livejournal.com 2009-10-06 03:33 pm (UTC)(link)
So what do you look like Reid? What's your style?

I guess so. I can't help this feeling that I should be doing something more proactive about all of this. Like I should be doing something. I keep getting all restless and freaking myself out. Then when I get on the verge of running I freak out about that.

Maybe I just don't want to be weak, you know? Just... where he's concerned I don't know how to be strong.

[identity profile] letsdropin.livejournal.com 2009-10-06 06:21 pm (UTC)(link)
Mmm. Here (http://i164.photobucket.com/albums/u36/ShawnCloud/Reid.jpg)'s a pic, although I don't exactly look all too amused on it, but that's the first one I came up with. And, style? I'm random. Really. Usually jeans and a sweater or hoodie and a jacket? Stuff like that. Not that I borrow clothes from the rest of the guys when I feel like it or anything...

Right, um. Like do what? Catch him? That would be 'should' only if you're officer of the law, which you aren't. You didn't help him run away; you didn't make him do anything, okay? I'd think staying safe and ... living your own life, doing your own thing, despite the threat, is also proactive? Kinda question of perspective, too, I guess.

... oh. I kinda got you there. But it's... not really easy to be... I dunno. Where one's parents are concerned, I'm getting to think that no matter how old we get... that thing where they're always stronger? Never goes away.

[identity profile] ocd-bibliophile.livejournal.com 2009-10-06 06:39 pm (UTC)(link)
Well you look normal, not like a crazy person. And you have pretty eyes. Hey there's nothing wrong with clothes borrowing! Promise.

You're right. There really isn't anything I can do. Wishful thinking. I wish I were strong like the Hulk or... some other big strong person. I need to be the next Hermoine... except with much better hair, and attend Hogwarts.

That's the truth. Boy... is that the truth. I bet Freud could do a whole monologue about the relationships between parents and children... or the lack thereof.

[identity profile] letsdropin.livejournal.com 2009-10-07 06:11 am (UTC)(link)
Hah. Thank you. And thanks, glad you think so? :) Hahaha I think people have tried to break me out of the habit off and on since Tyler and I started rooming at Spencer... um, that's our high school? - with no noticeable success. So... yeah.

You sure you want to take up the negatives that go with being ... one or the other? I mean, being stuck with some kind of extraordinary power like always comes with a big price tag and all.

Of course he could. Actually, I don't think it's a case of 'could' and more of 'did'?

[identity profile] ocd-bibliophile.livejournal.com 2009-10-07 02:49 pm (UTC)(link)
If my roommates weren't so weird, I'd probably borrow their clothes too.

Like the things that make superheroes dark and broody? Yeah, that wouldn't be so awesome, I guess. To coin a phrase from Avenue Q, it sucks to be me.

[identity profile] letsdropin.livejournal.com 2009-10-08 06:33 am (UTC)(link)
Hah. But maybe that means they're not borrowing yours? I mean, not that I mind when mine get borrowed. Just.

Something like that, yeah. I mean, nothing good comes without a price, right? Just gotta know what you would or wouldn't be willing to, you know. Be up to, when wishing something like extra power. Also, you can always hope it will get better?
